What is it that Ill be doing?
Starting June 17th I will take it upon myself to attempt the most morally challenging thing I will ever have to face. I will be attempting the Uberman sleep schedule. For all those who are not familiar with polyphasic sleep schedules, let me explain. I read on the internet(mostly Wikipedia), that a person can drastically change their sleep schedule by sleeping in half an hour shifts. For example, I will be attempting to sleep a half an hour every 4 hours I am awake. Why would I do this? Well, By taking half an hour power naps, you are able to skip out on the core 8 hours of sleep your body usually requires. That's about 2 hours of sleep every day! During this process of changing my sleep schedule and adapting to a new one, I will be blogging about everything I experience, so you guys will know exactly how I feel the whole time. I will be constantly posting(still unsure how often) so please follow me!

is that the kramer method?
ReplyDeleteI know a lot of people who try polyphasic sleep and crash immediately. It's one of the hardest things you can do. But if you actually manage it, you have an extra 5 hours a day to use however you want!
ReplyDeleteplease please please keep this up... as a student the added hours would be incredible

I've heard about this before, seems very interesting but I've heard if you miss one of your naps by about an hour or so it'll mess everything up.
